Native of Barcelona, Giovanni first moved to the Canary Islands in 1993 to ground his passion for water sports. He then studied Industrial Design at the School of Arts & Crafts of Barcelona. In 2003, he moved to New York City to dive deep into graphic design, typography and calligraphy. He graduated with honors from Pratt Institute’s Graduate Communication & Packaging Design Master Program in 2006.
For the past twenty years, he has combined freelance projects with collaborative works for several companies in New York, Barcelona and Hawaii. His work has been published in several publications and books and granted a few awards.
As an artist he studied Calligraphy with master teachers such as Julian Waters, Cara Di Edwardo, John Downer and Alice Koeth and typography with professors Alan Kitching, Bob Gill, Tony Di Spignia, Hannes Famira and Dennis Pasternack.
